Acme Activities Building

‘Meat locker’ at Acme will be insulated

People using the indoor walking track at Acme Brick Park, along with the basketball goals and other amenities, may find them a little more palatable this winter. As a result, there may be a lot more people using them.

Installation of $48,000 worth of foam insulation was approved this week for the ceiling and walls of the park’s Activities Building. The Clinton City Council unanimously approved the expenditure on the advice of Parks and Recreation Director Kris Wermy.

In recommending the money be spent, Wermy said that part of the building has been a “meat locker” in winters past when it had no insulation.
