Michael Bryan Cornell

Funeral services for Mi-chael Bryan Cornell, 65, Clinton resident, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Clinton First Baptist Church, officiated by Vann Leonard.Cornell died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, in his Clin-ton home. He was born Nov. 16, 1947 in Clinton, the son of K.B. Jr. and Wanda Jean (McBride) Cornell.He was raised in Custer City and graduated from Custer City High School in 1965 before continuing his education at then Southwestern State Col-lege in Weatherford, where he graduated with a degree in education.He married Janie Haskett in 1966 in Custer City and started his farming ca-reer, farming and ranch-ing for more than 31 years.He also did custom ferti-lizer application as well as sold cars for David Howe Motors, Smith Family Nissan in Elk City and D&D Used Cars.Cornell attended the Cus-ter City Methodist Church for many years and most recently was a member of the Arapaho First Baptist Church.Preceding him in death were his parents.Survivors include his son, Michael Bryan Cornell, Jr. and his wife, Tina, and daughter, Laura Cornell, all of Clinton; a sister, Kathleen Walker and her husband, Jim, of Okla-homa; a brother, Pat Cor-nell and his wife, Kathy, of Clinton; and his fiancé, Terry Terry, of Clinton; seven grandchildren, Will Cornell, Jackson Cornell, Gage Butcher, Reid Butcher, Jordan Cornell, Jessica Cornell and Syd-ney Butcher; and a great-grandchild, Addler Bryan Cornell.Burial will conclude in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Custer City, under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home, Clin-ton.It is has been suggested those wishing to give a memorial contribution may do so to the “Friends for Life” Animal Sanctu-ary C/O Charlene Meacham 712 Phillips Lane, Clinton, OK 73601
