Otto Jacob Ratke

Funeral services for Otto Jacob Ratke, 85, will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Trinity Lutheran Church, 13th and Modelle, in Clinton with Doyle Kinney and Rob Spicer ociating. Ratke died Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at the United Methodist Health Care Center in Clinton. He was born July 17, 1928, in Arapaho, the son of Jacob and Alvena (Kolb) Ratke. Ratke was raised southwest of Arapaho on the family farm and attended Sta¡ord School were he graduated in 1946. He worked on the farm and had a town job to keep the farm going. On Nov. 15, 1952, he married Bertha Alice Cordes in Clinton. He then worked for Culligan Water before the family moved to Perryton, Texas. In 1963 they returned to Clinton where he worked for John Boyles, Clinton Transfer and Storage and finally Smith Oil before retiring in 1993. His hobbies were welding and working with iron. Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Grover Ratke. Survivors include his wife, Bertha of the home; son, Loyd Ratke of Yukon; daughter, Wanda Walker and her husband Jerry of Yukon; four grandchildren, Beau Ratke of McAlester, Clint Ratke of Oklahoma City, Christie Green and her husband Michael of Yukon, and Shannon Walker of Yukon; stepgranddaughter, Loresa Gaines of Oklahoma City; one great granddaughter, Sutton Lyric Green of Yukon; stepgreat-grandson, Jeremie Gaines of Oklahoma City, and step-great-granddaughter, Aubrey Lee and her husband Matt of Oklahoma City. Burial will be in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of Stanley Lee Funeral Home.
