Raul Perez

A mass of Christian burial for Raul Perez, 71, of Clinton, will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Thomas Pudota ociating Burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel. Raul Cuellar Perez was born July 16, 1942 to Tomas and Felix (Cuellar) Perez in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, and died in his Clinton home Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013. Perez was raised and attended school both in Nebraska and Texas. He was married to Maria Louisa Lopez on May 5, 1963 in Mexico. They have made their homes in Illinois, Texas and Oklahoma. He and his wife settled in Clinton in 1995. He has been employed as a ranch hand, electrician and with Bar-S Foods. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and spending time with family and friends. Perez was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Adam Perez, and three brothers, Arthur, Mauro and Gilberto. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Maria, of the home; five daughters, Tina Perez and Francisco Torres, Estella Hernandez and husband Jose, Cindy Musick and husband Jessie, Maria Zuniga and husband Martin, and Lisa Ulrich and husband Jerry, all of Clinton; five sons, Cesar Perez and Jo Lyn Britton, of Sentinel, Raul T. Perez and wife Ida, of Clinton, George Perez, Moses Perez and wife Cynthia, and Jerry Perez and wife Tania, of Clinton; a brother, Alfredo Perez and wife Guadeloupe; two sisters, Eva Garza and Maria Alaniz, all of Texas; and two sisters in law, Guadalupe Perez, Clinton, and Norma Perez, of Texas. He is also survived by 37 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
