Boyles takes Canadian wilderness odyssey

Brayden Boyles, a junior at Clinton High School, recently returned from spending 12 days and nights in a very special wilderness trek at Northern Tier – one of four High Adventure Bases managed by the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Boyles, the son of Sky Boyles of Clinton and Nicole Boyles of Oklahoma City, is a member of the Order of the Arrow (OA). OA is commonly known as the National Honor Society of the Boy Scouts of America. As a member of OA, Boyles was one of eight youths chosen to receive a scholarship to attend Northern Tier, which straddles the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in Minnesota and Quetico Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada.
Arrowmen from all around the country converged at Northern Tier. Besides the value of the experience, the purpose of the trip was to join an Arrow of the Order Trail Crew (OATC), to do the work of repairing and maintaining remote portage trails in Ontario.
