Butler Rodeo will open tonight

The annual Butler Open Rodeo will be at 8 p.m. today (Friday) and Saturday in the town’s rodeo arena.
Admission will be $5 with children, ages 3 and under, free. Concessions will be available.
Saturday, starting at 9:45 p.m., there will be a free rodeo dance with Slim Pickins of Elk City playing a mix of current and classic country, sponsored by D’s Junction in Butler.
Rodeo events will include mutton busting; junior and senior breakaway roping; calf roping; ribbon roping; kiddie, junior and senior barrel racing; ranch bronc riding; bull riding; and team roping.
