City’s looks draw barbs, compliments

Water wasn’t the only issue discussed at Tuesday’s City Council meeting. Another matter that’s been around much longer than the water shortage – the city’s appearance – also came in for discussion, not only by the council but also a small but vocal number of citizens.
City Councilman Mustafa Sami opened the door when he said several people have expressed concerns to him about cars and dilapidated houses, and a general belief that city codes are not being enforced.
