Williams Electric of Clinton was awarded a contract Tuesday for $275,024 to install new runway lighting at Weatherford Regional Airport.
Two bids were received for the project. The other was $281,263 from Libra Electric of Oklahoma City. The engineer’s estimate was $280,563.
The work will be paid for primarily from a grant of $360,224 that Weatherford anticipates receiving from the Federal Aviation Administration. It’s a 90-10 grant, so the city would have to pay $27,502 of Williams Electric’s charge.
