Inhofe fully in Trump’s corner

Donald Trump wasn’t Jim Inhofe’s first choice as the Republican nominee for president, nor his second or his third. But now Trump has the full backing of Oklahoma’s senior U.S. senator.
“I just got back from the convention,” Inhofe said Friday morning in Weatherford, the day after Trump received the GOP presidential nomination. “I’m a real Trump fan.”
Although admittedly a late one. Inhofe said his first choice was Mario Rubio. Then when Rubio dropped out, he switched to John Kasich. Finally, by the time the convention started, Trump was the only one of the 17 original candidates standing.

U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe, who flies his own plane on visits to constituents, gets a close-up look at the panel of a fixed base simulator that 135 of the nation’s astronaut crews trained in for their space flights. It’s on display at the Tom Stafford Museum in Weatherford.
