Lightning devastates local couple’s home

Tony and Debbie Littleton were glad neither of them was home Thursday morning, Aug. 4.
“Debbie and I both had left,” Tony said Wednesday. “I had left early, and she left about 10 till 8. It evidently happened sometime shortly after 8 a.m. A neighbor lady called me at 10 till 9 and told me the roof of my house had caved in.
“I told her I didn’t understand. My house is three years old. She sent me a picture, and then I knew exactly what had happened. I guess we were real fortunate it didn’t burn to the ground and she didn’t drive up on a pile of ashes.”
