Respect for history behind choice of art

The transformation taking place at the intersection of Gary Boulevard and Fourth Street has many in the community nodding their heads with approval.
On the spot where a derelict blue eyesore once stood there is now a modern office building.
But a statue recently erected on its west side now has some of the building’s admirers scratching their heads with curiosity.
