In a brief meeting Tuesday, the Clinton City Council agreed to pay Farmrail $700 for an easement that will allow the city to connect the new Dixon water well to the 24-inch pipeline coming to Clinton from Clinton Lake.
Members also approved paying Johnnie Dixon $55,000 — $50,000 for a well relocation fee and $5,000 for surface damages in drilling the well — as previously agreed to in the contract.
During the meeting Councilman Lucas Martinez expressed concern that a new pipe fence being built at Acme Brick Park is not meeting the quality standards expected at that facility.
