Weatherford police will soon take over dispatching duties for all of Blaine County, Chief Louis Flowers has announced.
The Weatherford department already dispatches for the eastern half of Custer County. Clinton police dispatch for the western half of the county.
Flowers said beginning sometime from mid-November to the first of December, all 911 calls for Blaine County will go through his department. That will include calls for the towns of Watonga, Okeene, Canton, Geary and Greenfield, he said.
