A man who allegedly ran a stop sign in April while driving under the influence of drugs, causing an accident that fractured the neck of a Butler woman and also sent her elderly mother to the hospital, faces a preliminary hearing in that case and two others on Aug. 18.
The defendant is Wesley Walton, 28, who apparently lives now at a rural Custer City address. In the third of the three cases he faces a total of six counts, one of them for allegedly having in his possession eight guns – five of them loaded – when he was stopped by Trooper Jared Boese of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol at the end of a pursuit.
