No trauma found during Foss autopsy

Drowning was the most likely cause of death for one of the three occupants of a 1953 Chevrolet sedan pulled from the waters of Foss Reservoir on Sept. 17, 2013, an autopsy from the State Medical Examiner’s Office concludes.

“No perimortem injuries identified,” the report states. Perimortem means prior to death.

The autopsy is the first to be completed on six victims – three in each of two cars that were found submerged in Foss Lake on Sept. 10, 2013. It was not initially known that the cars contained human remains.
