Lady Reds show promise in scrimmages

The Lady Reds were busy Thursday as they continue their preparation for the start of the season.

They began the day with a pair of scrimmages at home vs. Elgin and Lawton Ike and then ended their day with a scrimmage at rival Weatherford at night.

“I think we’re young and we make a lot of silly mistakes but by the end of the season, I think we’ll be peaking just about right,” CHS volleyball head coach Chad Walker said. “We came out and competed very well against Lawton Ike I thought. Just our ability to dig balls and fill the gaps, even the other two coaches were very complimentary of our defensive capabilities.”
