Thelma Lee Smith
Chapel services for Thelma Lee (Herron) Smith, 85, Butler resident, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton, officiated by Rev. Mike Holman.
Mrs. Smith died Thursday, June 5, 2015, in her Butler home. She was born June 29, 1929 to William and Stella (Brewer) Herron in Saint Jo, Texas.
Mrs. Smith was raised and attended school in Saint Jo, Texas. She was married to Robert Lee Smith on Feb. 27, 1946 in Gainesville, Texas. They moved to Butler in 1973, and she resided there until her passing.
She was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Preceding her in death were her husband; parents; three grandchildren, John Patrick Collins, Kyle Mark Holcomb and Ryan Lee Smith; brothers, Clifford Herron, LaRanzy Herron, Weldon Herron and Ernest Herron; and sisters, Oleta McKerchie and Irene Clark.
Survivors include six children, Willie L. Smith, Judy Addington and husband, Gene, Frieda Collins, Leveta Crist and her husband, Johnny, Doris Collins and her husband, Bobby, and Bev Johnson and her husband, Rick; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial will conclude in the Jim Town Cemetery in Jim Town, Okla., officiated by family members.
