Kevin William Kyle

Funeral services for Kevin William Kyle, 50-year-old Weatherford resident, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Performing Arts Center at Southwestern Oklahoma State University with Jason Ewing officiating.

Kyle died in Weatherford Saturday, June 6, 2015, as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was born April 21, 1965, in Altoona, Pa., the son of Darwin and Marguerite (Keller).

Kyle was raised and attended school near Altoona and graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1983.

He enlisted in the Marine Corps and then married Ernalina Alor, making their home in Quantico, Va. While serving his country, he served in Desert Storm, Afghanistan, Iraq and other combat operations.

On Feb. 14, 2004, Kyle married Jodie Glassey in Las Vegas, Nev., and they made their home in Stafford, Va.  They moved to Weatherford in 2005, and he worked with the Weatherford VFW. He also worked as an independent contractor and served as the American Legion department adjutant for the State of Oklahoma after retiring from the military in 2008.

Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Jodie Kyle, of their home north of Weatherford; his mother, Peggy McCarty, of East Freedom, Pa.; his daughter, Kena Hardin, and her husband, Tyler, of Tulsa; his son, Cody Baker, of Weatherford; two brothers, Jeff Kyle, and his wife, Cathy, of Hallam, Pa., and Timothy Kyle and his wife, Suzanne, of Dallastown, Pa.; two sisters, Patricia Sutton, and her husband, Charles, of Renton, Wash., and Tammie Blades, and her husband, John, of Summerville, S.C. Preceding him in death were his father, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery at Weatherford.
