Billie Dean Powers

Graveside services for Billie Dean Powers, 73, of Yukon, were held July 16, 2014, in the Yukon Cemetery.

He died July 12, 2014.

He was born Jan. 17, 1941, in Thomas, the son of Eddie and Julia “Corn” Powers. In 1980 he moved from Weatherford to Yukon. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and served in the Vietnam War.

He was a member of the Elm Street Church of Christ in El Reno where he also enjoyed his church family. He was a member of the American Legion, enjoyed fishing and hunting, working in the yard and spending time with his family and his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dwayne Powers. Survivors include his wife, Jean; daughters, Lorrie Martin and husband, Mark, Teresa Tessier and husband, Mike; a brother, Eugene Powers, and wife, Ella; sisters, Zella Gifford, Judy Smith and husband, James; grandchildren, Ian and his wife, Claire, Rebecca and her husband, Jason; great grandchildren Rylan, Sage and Johnny.
