Macie Roberta Flock

Word has been received that Macie Roberta Flock, 82, Weatherford, died Saturday, July 11, 2015. She was born Oct. 16, 1932 in Clinton to Clayton Homer and Edith (Earney) Johnson and died July 11, 2015.

She was raised and graduated from high school in Clinton.

After graduation, she went to work for Bell Telephone as an operator. She did this for many years before becoming a receptionist for an area doctor.

She married her first husband, Don Byron Latimer, in 1948. They had three children together, two sons and one daughter, before his passing in 1963.

In 1969, she married Dr. Eugene Flock. She began work as the receptionist at his practice. They made their home in Weatherford and Thomas until his passing in 1988.

Survivors include two sons, Robert “Bobby” Byron Latimer of Weatherford, and Jay Latimer and his wife, Ginny, of Weatherford; one daughter, Janie Nidey and Steve of Weatherford; one brother, Ralph Johnson and his wife, Lynn, of Piedmont; and numerous grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Byron Latimer; husband, Dr. Eugene Flock; one brother, Bob Johnson; and one sister, Neva Jeske.
