Tim Keeney

A memorial service for Tim Keeney, 65, of Clinton, has been set for 2 p.m. Friday at the First Christian Church in Clinton, with Doyle Kinney officiating.

Keeney died Monday, July 27, 2015, in Oklahoma City, after a lengthy illness. He was born Oct. 26, 1949, to Howard and Evelyn (Brininger) Keeney in Ashtabula County, Ohio

Raised in Ohio,  he went to school at Rock Creek and graduated from Jefferson High School.

He lived and worked in many places across the United States. He eventually retired from Red Devil Company in Pryor and moved to Clinton where he married Peggy Rehder Setzer on Jan. 18, 2009.

The couple opened and operated The Bargain Bin in Clinton until they had to quit for health reasons.

Keeney was a member of the Pryor Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by both parents.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy, of the home; two brothers, Ted and Terry Keeney, of Ohio; four daughters, Diana Parker, and her husband, Doug, of Ohio, Traci Roger, and her husband, Gene, Penny Setzer, of Clinton, and Sara Hoffman and her husband, Brian, of Arapaho; four sons, Tim Keeney, and his wife, Janet, Kevin Kampf, and his wife, Jolene, of Ohio, Troy Keeney, of Pryor, and Scott Setzer, and his wife, Crystal, of Yukon; 22 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Kenney’s remains will be buried in Rock Creek, Ohio, under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home of Clinton.
