Barbara Martin

Graveside services for Barbara Diane Martin, 78, of Topeka, Kan., will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Custer City Masonic Cemetery.

She died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015.

She was born Jan. 12, 1937, in Cherokee, the daughter of Deane and Lila Dye Hammans.

On May 7,1955, she married Marvin Fred Martin at the Christian Church in Custer City.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Hammans and niece, Judy Hammans Weverka.

Survivors include her husband, Fred Martin, of Topeka; two daughters, Sherry Brenneman and her husband, Gene, of Albuquerque N.M., Terry Powell and her husband, Tim, of Garden City, Kan.; her son, Gary D. Martin and his wife, Michelle, of Wichita, Kan.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Jack Hammans and his wife Oneta, of Austin, Texas; her sister-in-law, Lou Hammans,  of Alamogordo, N.M.; and several nieces and nephews.
