Dorothy Roush
Private funeral services for Dorothy (Johnson) Roush, 74, will be held at a time to be determined in Anchorage, Alaska.
Mrs. Roush died Sept. 26, 2015, at Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage.
She was born July 24, 1941, in the Anthon area of northern Custer County to George and Lucy (Tinney) Johnson. She moved to Putnam in 1946 and graduated from there in 1959.
She married Joe Roush Dec. 7, 1959. Her husband was in the Air Force and they lived in such places as Okinawa, Japan, Florida, Kansas and Alaska.
They made their home in Alaska in 1972 and she worked as a bookkeeper for a daycare center until her death.
Mrs. Roush was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers, Delbert and Virgil Johnson; an infant brother and sister; and three sisters-in-law.
She is survived by her two daughters, Joyce of Anchorage and Pam of Arizona; her brother, Kenneth Johnson of Clinton; two sisters, Helen Heddleston and her husband, Everett of Marlow and Audry Rice and her husband, Carl, of Clinton; her sister-in-law, Cara Johnson of Sand Springs; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
