Brian Burton

Funeral services will be held for Brian Edward Burton, 43, at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, in the Living Word Fellowship in Woodward.

Burton died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015.

He was born Nov. 27, 1971, to Richard and Linda Clowdus Burton, in Wichita Falls, Texas, and grew up in Clinton. After he graduated from high school in 1990, he went to work for a commercial construction company. After a few years he worked for Service Master in Clinton, and in 1996 he began working for Halliburton, following in the footsteps of his father. He earned the position of Field Engineer through his dedication and hard work at Halliburton.

On April 17, 2004, he married Crystal Reed, and they made their home in Woodward. He gave his heart to Jesus in 2004, and the couple loved being with their church family at Living Word Fellowship.

He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Burton; grandfathers Tom Burton and Floyd Clowdus; grandmother Fran Burton; and sister-in-law, Melissa Henderson.

He is survived by his wife, Crystal Burton, of the home; children Zaki Burton, Zaylee Burton and Zane Burton, also of the home, and Ariana Burton and Marisa Burton of Woodward, and Richard Burton of Cookeville, Tennessee; mother Linda Burton. of Clinton; grandmother Doris Clowdus, of Wichita Falls, Texas; mother-in-law Barbara Miller and husband, Mark, of Gladewater, Texas; father-in-law John Reed of Woodward; brother Brandon Burton and fiancé, Donna Johnson, of Lawton; sister Farrah Castro and husband, Manuel, of Clinton; brother-in-law Jason Reed and wife, Destiny, of Woodward; brother-in-law Curtis Henderson of Mooreland; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends and coworkers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Burton family through their church at Living Word Fellowship, with the funeral home accepting the contributions on behalf of the family. The website link for donations is https://lwfchurch.cloverdonations.com/lwfdonations/.

Funeral services will be officiated by Reverend Eric Cox. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, under the direction of Billings Funeral Home.
