Steve England
A memorial service will be held for Steve England, 65, former Clinton resident, at 11 a.m. Friday at Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016, in Union, Neb.
Stephen Lynn England was born March 14, 1950, to Millard Oral England and Joye Golda (Hadley) England, in Cordell. He was raised in Cordell and graduated from Cordell High School in 1968, and continued his education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University where he received a business degree in 1972.
Steve then moved to Clinton, where he began working for Myers Linen Service in 1974. Along with a partner, Dave Felch, he purchased the business in 1982 and renamed it Consumer Textile Corporation. He later sold his share of the business in 2009.
In 2012, Steve moved to a home on Lake Waconda at Union, Neb. After moving he spent half the year at his home on the lake and the other half in Clinton, until 2014 when he permanently relocated to Nebraska.
Steve was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, the Independent Textile Rental Association, and the Kiwanis Club. He loved music, playing the harmonica, watching movies and collecting military memorabilia. He also loved the outdoors, boating, gardening, yardwork, and traveling. Steve spent numerous hours working on home improvement projects and loved to keep busy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by significant other Donna Stewart of Lake Waconda, Union, Neb.; two daughters, Jami Dawson and husband, Bobby, Canute, and Kelli Thomas and husband, Jim, Anniston, Ala.; two sons, Peter Decher, Clinton, and Matt Decher and wife, Heather, Moore; a brother, Mike England and wife, Sheri, Cordell; and four grandchildren, Peyton Dawson, Canute, Austin Cook, Noah Morris and Levi Decher, all of Moore.

The memorial service will be officiated by Rev. Dale Nease and Chaplain Dan Day, under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
