Berdine Sauer
Funeral services will be held for Berdine Lovenia (Conder) Sauer, 83, of Weatherford, at 10 a.m. today (Tuesday) in the Grace Assembly of God Church.
Mrs. Sauer died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City.
She was born March 26, 1932, to Douglas and Pearl (Maxfield) Conder, in Weatherford.
Raised in Weatherford she graduated from Weatherford High School in 1950. On July 31, 1949, she married Jack Sauer, and they made their home in Texas and Ohio while serving on the home mission front.
Berdine devoted her life to the Lord, serving as a pastor’s wife and leading music worship.
After retiring from the church, Jack and Berdine returned to their home in Weatherford in 1976.
She loved to sing, draw and paint, and had a special love of horses.
She is survived by her husband, of the home; a daughter, Tricia Sauer Graft and husband, C.B., Clinton; two sons, J.D. Sauer and wife, Debbie, Dallas, Texas, and Aaron Sauer and wife, Melinda, Weatherford; seven grandchildren, April Sauer Bryden, Brian Sauer, Brendon Graft, Channing Graft, Aaron Graft, Chaille Graft Walraven and Jordan Graft; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be officiated by Rev. Wesley Warren. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home. The family received friends on Monday evening at the funeral home.
