Joanne Kluver

Funeral services will be held for Joanne Kluver, 61, Clinton resident, at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Kluver died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Joanne Elizabeth Kluver was born May 17, 1954, to Ken and Jean (Steward) Reeb, in Ontario, Canada. Her family moved to Miami, Fla., and then eventually to Orlando, Fla., where she graduated from high school. Later she moved to Dallas, Texas, where she met Richard Kluver, whom she married in 1985 in Oklahoma City. The couple settled in Clinton in December of 1986. She worked as circulation manager for the Clinton Daily News from 1988 through 1990, and for R&R Water Conditioning from 1998 to 2000.  She was also a professional bartender and worked at many local clubs.   She loved classical dance, and one of her favorite memories was performing in the play “Anything Goes” at the Southwest Playhouse as a dancer.  
Joanne never had children of her own, but when she married Richard she also gained a son, Shane, and a daughter, Autumn, and they became like her own.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed going to their many activities.

She was preceded in death by her father; a sister, Marcia Doran; her father- and mother-in-law, Fred and Christel Kluver; and a brother-in-law, Fred R. Kluver.  

She is survived by her husband, of the home; a son, Shane and wife, Angela, of Yukon; a daughter, Autumn Rogers and husband, Dan, of Cement; her mother, Jean Reeb, of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; six grandchildren, Hoak Kluver, Jordan Kluver, Chance Dhalluin, Seth Dhalluin, McKenna Rogers and Henry Rogers; three great-grandchildren, Jett Kluver, Cooper Kluver and Easton Dhalluin; sisters-in-law Anita Kluver, of Tuttle, Linda Bryan and husband, Victor, of Bethany, and Frances Riddle and husband, Vernon, of Chickasha; brother-in-law Kevin Doran, of Marcum, Ontario, Canada; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family has suggested that those wanting to make a memorial contribution do so to Friends for Life, P.O. Box 1965, Weatherford, OK 73096.

Services will be officiated by Rev. Kim Hayes. Interment will follow at Clinton Cemetery under the direction of KiesauLee Funeral Home.
