Regina Curtis

Funeral services will be held for Regina Marie Curtis, 16, of Oklahoma City, at 1 p.m. Saturday at the C-1 Community Building in Seiling.

Curtis died in June, 2000, but her remains were not identified until last week.

She was born Dec. 8, 1983, to Gilbert Curtis Sr. and Inez (White Buffalo) Curtis, in Clinton. She grew up mostly in the Clinton area, and attended Ardmore, El Reno, and finally Oklahoma City Schools. Regina was a freshman in high school at the time of her disappearance. The family will finally be able to lay her to rest.

She is preceded in death by her mother; grandparents John and Phoebe White Buffalo; and grandmother Lena Belle Tenorio.

She is survived by her father, of Clinton; seven brothers and sisters, Cameron Curtis, Clinton, Virgil Curtis, Weatherford, Monica Curtis, Andrea Curtis, Augustine Curtis, Eric Curtis and Gilbert Curtis Jr., all of Clinton; several aunts and uncles, especially LaFreda White Buffalo; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

A traditional all night wake will be held tonight (Friday), starting at 7 p.m. in the C-1 Community Building, 411 N. Main, in Seiling.

Funeral services will be officiated by Pastors Gerald Panana and George Akeen Jr. Interment will follow at Cantonment Cemetery in Canton under the direction of Redinger Funeral Home.
