A memorial service for Rayburn “Ray” Stricklen, 78, of Blanchard, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of John M. Ireland Funeral Home in Moore.
Mr. Stricklen died Wednesday, March 2, 2016.
He was born July 29, 1937, to Odell and Annie Lea Stricklen in Indianola, Miss. He worked as a towboat captain for Steel City Marine.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Danny Stricklen; son-in-law Wayland Lamson; and one brother, Jimmy Dale.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Colleen Stricklen; three children, Darla, Denna and David; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Debra and Darlene; two brothers, James and Roland; and a host of other family members and friends.
