Dale Taylor

Funeral services will be held for Dale H. Taylor, 77, at 1 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Mustang.

Taylor died Thursday, May 5, 2016.

He was born Feb. 9, 1939, in Hydro, to Henry Clay and Mary Alice (Smith) Taylor. He grew up in Hydro and Clinton and was a 1957 graduate of Clinton High School. He attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University where he received a double bachelor’s degree in math and physics.  After college he worked for a period of time at NASA in Houston, Texas, before moving to Tulsa, where he worked for both Standard Oil Company and Sun Ray DX Oil Company.

In 1973 the family returned to Clinton where Taylor worked for 3M and the City of Weatherford.  In 2000 he moved to Yukon and then retired in 2001.  

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mustang.  

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.  Survivors include his wife of nearly 56 years, Dianna, of the home; one son, Travis Taylor and wife Dawn, of Yukon; one daughter, Linda Mangus and husband Charlie, of Yukon; four grandchildren, Joshua and wife Kaylee, Matthew and fiance Layne, and Sarah and Joseph; one great-grandchild, Logan; and one brother; Larry Taylor and wife Kathy, of Weatherford.

Interment will follow the service at 4:30 p.m. at Bessie Lutheran Cemetery.
