Justin Humble
Funeral services for former Frederick resident, Justin Matthew Humble, age 39, of Hollis, will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Frederick, with Pastor Chris Carlisle officiating. Burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mr. Humble passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.
Justin Matthew Humble was born on August 21, 1976 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Andy and Kerri (Gant) Humble. He lived in Woodward before moving to Weatherford where he started grade school. He then attended middle school in Laverne and graduated from Laverne High School in 1995. During high school, he was a Class A All-Star Football player and was a two way starter in the 7th Annual K-101 Classic Bowl in Woodward. He graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma with a degree in Secondary Education. In 2001, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Brandy Renee’ Regier from Mountain View, Oklahoma.
He began his coaching career in Garden City, Kansas in 2001 as an Offensive and Defensive Line Coach. They moved to Woodward, in 2006 where he continued teaching and coaching until they moved to Frederick, in 2008. He was Offensive and Defensive Line Coach and head track coach where his track team won three Regional Championships and two State Runner-Up Championships in 2013 and 2014. As an assistant football coach his teams had two 10-0 seasons and went on to the semifinals twice – once in Frederick in 2012 and in Hollis in 2015. He was Offensive and Defensive Line Coach in Hinton in 2014 before moving to Hollis where he was line coach in 2015; where their team was a semifinalist. In 2011, Matt and Brandy welcomed the love of their lives into the world with the birth of their daughter, Allyson Renee whom he cherished dearly.
Matt loved teaching and coaching. He always tried not only to teach the subject matter and the position on the football field or the track but the elements to succeed in life. He was never hesitant to tell them he loved and cared deeply for them. He was avid fan of his family, team, players, students, The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, Kansas State and The Chicago Bears. He loved all sports, fishing and quail hunting.
He is survived by his wife Brandy Humble of the home; his daughter, Allyson Humble of the home; his parents, Andy and Kerri (Gant) Humble of Clinton, Oklahoma; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Calvin and Delena Regier of Mountain View, Oklahoma; one sister, Amanda Humble of Yukon, Oklahoma; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Shane and Robbi Regier of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Neal and Myrle Humble and Harold and Cleta Gant.
