Western Equipment purchasing six dealerships

Western Equipment, with its corporate headquarters in Clinton, has announced it is in the process of purchasing Ray Lee Equipment, an established John Deere dealer with six locations in the Texas panhandle and New Mexico. Locations being purchased include Plainview, Dimmit, Floydada, Muleshoe and Olton in Texas, and Clovis, N.M.
Western Equipment has stores established in Clinton, Weatherford, Hobart, Altus, Alva, and Woodward. Texas facilities include Amarillo and Childress.
Western Equipment started out as a family-owned business in 1916.
