Sooners’ title hopes go through Cougars, Buckeyes
The Oklahoma football season is less than a month away and the Sooners’ open their season with one of the toughest schedules in college football.
The Sooners have national title aspirations. To fulfill their lofty goal, they have to get past two top tier non-conference opponents.
On Sept. 3, the Sooners will head down to Houston to play last season’s Peach Bowl Champions. The Cougars were one of the nation’s biggest surprises in 2015. Everyone knew they had talent, but they had no idea how high the Cougs could climb. Under new head coach Tom Herman the Cougars went from 8-5 to 13-1. If it weren’t for an injury to quarterback Greg Ward Jr., Houston would’ve likely been undefeated.
