Brenda Price

A mass of Christian burial for Brenda Price, 51, of Clinton, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, officiated by Father Thomas Pudota.

Burial will be in the Arapaho Cemetery under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

Brenda Christine Price was born July 15, 1964, to Doug and Elaine (Hatcher) Fransen in Clinton, and passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at her home east of Clinton.

Brenda was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 1982.  She continued her education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 1988.  While attending college, she worked part-time in the public accounting field, and in May of 1989 she passed the CPA exam and became a Certified Public Accountant.

She worked for a time in the Dallas area and later returned to Clinton, joining her mother in the firm of Elaine L. Fransen, CPA.

Brenda loved animals, flowers and the outdoors. In addition to working part-time at the accounting firm, she enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, cooking and mowing.

Devoted to her family and friends, she will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, Isaac and Ruth Fransen and Leon and Lucille Hatcher; her father, Douglas Fransen; her nephew, Kevin Fransen, and by Regi Price and Buddy Thomas.

Survivors include her mother, Elaine, of the home in Clinton; one brother, Scott Fransen and his wife, Anita; two sisters, Diane Smith and her fiancé, Kenneth Heims, and Cheryl Gregg; nieces Mindy Smith, Kaci Fransen and Claire Gregg; and nephews Ryan Fransen and Nicolas Gregg.

She is also survived by step-children Scott and Boone Price, Mandy Skaggs and Jay Thomas; step-grandchildren Valoncia, Zianne and Kason Skaggs; and by a special friend, Paul Stangl.
