Calvin Driscoll
Graveside services for Calvin Driscoll, 90, a former Clinton city councilman, will be at 9 a.m. Friday in the Clinton Cemetery officiated by Doug Lewis, under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
Driscoll died May 31, 2015, in the Clinton Veterans Center. He was born Aug. 7, 1924, to Dudley and Maude (Clements) Driscoll in Custer County.
He was raised in Custer County and attended Custer City schools before entering the U.S. Army on Dec. 30, 1948. He spent two terms, serving in the Korean Conflict.
Upon returning home, he married Joy Ann Dobbs on Nov. 4, 1950, in Clinton. He spent most of his life working as a heavy equipment operator and had worked for Earl Smith Ditching.
Driscoll was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, David Driscoll; three brothers, Roy, Dink and Alfred Driscoll; and three sisters, Hazel Weese, Lois Horn and Verlena Thibodaux
Survivors include his wife, Joy Ann, of the home; a daughter, Barbara Brinkley, of Clinton; two grandchildren, Joseph Brinkley of El Reno and Lee Ann (Brinkley) Miller, and her husband, Stephen, of Clinton; two great-grandchildren, Carson Miller and Brinkley Ruthann Miller, of Clinton; and a sister, Vera Bea Wright, of Hobart.
