Carl Lawson

 

A private funeral service will be held for Carl Lawson, 46, of Bessie.
Lawson died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, in his Bessie home. 
Carl Wayne Lawson was born April 1, 1972, to Carl E. Lawson and Tina Cordova in Clinton. He was raised in the Hydro, Weatherford and Clinton areas as well as in Louisiana. He attended school while living in Oklahoma. 
He married Jaquetta Johnson Nov. 14, 2014, in Manitou Springs, Colo. 
Lawson worked as a truck driver most of his life. He enjoyed long haul driving, traveling, fishing, music and playing the drums. He loved spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Albert Cordova and Henry Lawson; an aunt, Pamela Cordova; and his grandmother, Lily Cordova. 
Survivors include his wife, of the home; his mother, Tina West of Clinton; his father, of West Monroe, La.; a sister, Evangelyn Post and husband Jim of Nebraska; a brother, John T. Hickerson III of Lawton; two step-daughters, Harley Delgado of Lawton and Talesa Lane of Indian; a son, Joseph Lawson of Lake Charles, La.; and a step-son, Kevin Johnson and wife Tressa of Manitou.
He is also survived by nine grandchildren and a host of cousins.
Mr. Lawson’s request was to be cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
