Cleburn Dale Dotson

Funeral services for Cleburn Dale Dotson, 73, Bethany resident and former Arapaho resident, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton, officiated by Tom Alley.  Burial will follow in the Arapaho Cemetery.
Dotson died Tuesday, July 14, 2015, on his 31st wedding anniversary, in his Bethany home.
He was born Nov. 17, 1941, in Okmulgee County, the son of Coleman and Margaret (Stanley) Dotson.
He was raised in Cromwell and graduated from Excelsior High School near there in 1960.
He married Dee Ann Robinson in 1962, and made his home in Arapaho for more than 45 years.
Dotson served as jailer at the Custer County Courthouse in Arapaho starting in 1987 and retired in 2004, having served for more than 17 years.
He later married Kathryn Downing on July 14, 1984, in Arapaho. He retired in December of 2004 and moved to Bethany.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
He attended the Bethany Baptist Church in Bethany.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn, of the home; a daughter, Amy Griffin, and her husband, Shaughn, of Oklahoma City; and three sons, Eddie Dotson, and his wife, Ronna, Darren Dotson, and wife, Michele, and Kevin Hamlin, all of Yukon; two sisters, Shirley Venn, and her husband, Lt. Col. Raymond Venn, of Claremore; Blanche Collins, and her husband, Charles, of Wewoka; nine grandchildren, Tiffany Grochowsky, Derek Dotson, Zoey Culpepper, Bryce Griffith, Holly Hoffman, Jill Dotson, Josh Dotson, Colby Dotson, and Shaun Vanzant and her husband, Zack.
The family has suggested those wanting to give a memorial contribution do so to the American Cancer Society.
