Corey Youngbull

 

Funeral services will be held for Corey Youngbull, 30, of Hammon at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Hammon Indian Community Building. 
He died Thursday, March 28, 2019, in the Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Corey Martin Youngbull was born April 9, 1988, to Edmond Wayne Youngbull and Deanna Raw Standingwater in Clinton. He was raised in Elk City, El Reno and Hammon. He graduated from Hammon High School in 2006, where he exceled in basketball and art. He continued his education at Oklahoma Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. 
For the past several years he had worked as a firefighter for the Cheyenne Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma. He enjoyed making and designing pow wow outfits, grass dancing and playing basketball.
Youngbull was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother, Deanna Davis of Elk City; two daughters, Chayil Youngbull of Burns Flat and Chamilla Douglas of Tryon; a son, Corey James Youngbull of Burns Flat; two sisters, Amber Youngbull and Arwen Youngbull, both of Elk City; and two brothers, Brandon Standingwater of Clinton and Cody Youngbull of Elk City.
A traditional all-night wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in the Hammon Indian Community Hall. 
Burial will follow the service at Hammon Indian Mennonite Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
