Delfred White Crow

 

Funeral services will be held for Pastor Delfred White Crow, 74, local evangelist, at 1 p.m. Friday in the Cheyenne-Arapaho Community Building east of Clinton.
He died Sunday, March 17, 2019, in Burns Flat.
White Crow was born Nov. 22, 1944, to Susie (White Turtle) and Alfred White Crow in Abilene, Texas, and he attended school in Clinton.
As a young man he worked for Sequoyah Mills Furniture Factory in Elk City and the Eismen Mud Company in Clinton. 
He accepted the Lord in 1969, and that became his focus for the next 50 years. As a pastor he impacted many lives on reservations in the U.S. and Canada. He pastored churches in Kewadin, Mich., Elk City and Clinton. 
He was a member of the Indian Baptist Church in Elk City and enjoyed fishing, going to the lake, and watching championship wrestling.
White Crow was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Tommy Stoneroad and Peyton Big Horse; a daughter, Marla Jean Big Horse; three brothers, Woodrow White Crow, Mark Bearbow and Saulivan White Crow; three sisters, Glorietta Whiteman, Margaret Starr and Willie Jean Kauley; his maternal grandparents, Dog Woman and Harold White Turtle; and his paternal grandfather, Teddy Red Cherries.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor (Stoneroad) White Crow, of the home; six children, Delfred “Bunny” White Crow Jr. and wife Erma, Deanna Wiley and husband Kenny, Chloe Henriquez and husband Angelo, Barbara White Crow, all of Elk City, Eugene Big Horse of Tacoma, Wash., and Ruby Big Horse of Elko, Nev.; and a brother, Robert White Crow of Clinton.
A traditional wake service will be held from 7-11 p.m. today in the Cheyenne-Arapaho Community Building.
The service will be officiated by Delfred “Bunny” White Crow Jr., Kenneth Wiley and Danny Faulkner. Burial will follow at Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
