Dora Maddox
A mass of Christian burial will be held for Dora A. Maddox, 62, of Clinton at 10 a.m. today in St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
She died Monday, Sept. 24, 2018, at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Dora Alicia Maddox was born Jan.28, 1956, to Manuel Antu and Maria (Ignacia) Antu in Villa Union Coahuila, Mexico. She was raised in Eagle Pass, Texas, and graduated from high school in 1974.
She was married to Stanley Maddox, and had made her home in Clinton since 1983. She was employed with Collins and Aikman and the Clinton Veterans Center.
Maddox was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church and volunteered at the Eastside Academy. She loved to shop and spend time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Rosantina Garcia and Maria Luisa Rodriquez.
Survivors include a son, John Manuel Maddox and wife Lisa Rene Standingwater of Clinton; two sisters, Petra Manche of Eagle Pass, Texas, and Francesca Valadez of Shamrock, Texas; and two brothers, Juan Manuel Antu of San Antonio, Texas, and Jose Luis Antu of Shertz, Texas.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren
The service will be officiated by Father Philip Louis and under the direction of Kiesau Lee Funeral Home.
