Fern Patrick
A chapel service for Fern Patrick, 92, of Clinton, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Patrick died Monday, April 11, 2016, at the Cordell Christian Home.
Aleta Fern Patrick was born June 12, 1923, to Corum and Lexie M. (Bros) Tucker, in Comanche. She was raised in Oklahoma City, where she also graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1941. She then attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.
She married Alton R. “Pat” Patrick in September 1942, in Oklahoma City. The couple made their home in Clinton, where Patrick worked as a bank teller for a short time.
She was an avid Oklahoma State University fan, and attended many ball games and bowl games. She enjoyed playing golf, traveling to Colorado, playing bridge, and taking care of her plants. She loved music, and once played in an orchestra.
Patrick was an active member of the First United Methodist Church. She devoted many years to taking care of her son Mike, who had been hurt in an auto accident.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and two sisters, Lorene Chaffee and Mary Wakeman.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Maloney and husband Rick, of Cushing; a son, Mike Allen Patrick, of Cordell; two grandsons, Thomas Patrick Maloney and wife Lesley, of Washington, D.C., and John Ryan Maloney and wife Jessica, of Jones; four great-grandchildren, Lilly Maloney, Reed Maloney, Jack Maloney and Emma Kate Maloney.
The service will be officiated by Rev. Roland Youngberg. Interment will follow the service at Clinton Cemetery under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
