Frances Farrell

Funeral services will be held for Frances Jean (Sherwood) Ferrell, 80, of Leedey, today at 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Leedey.
Mrs. Farrell died Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, at Grace Living Center, in Clinton.
Ferrell was born May 2, 1935, to Frank and Edna (Bell) Sherwood in Moorewood. She attended Hammon Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1953. She married Fred Ferrell in 1953, and together they had two children.
The family moved to Elk City in 1960, and then to Leedey in 1975. She was a faithful member of the Leedey Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers, Frankie Sherwood and Durwood Sherwood; and three sisters, Cora Hawkins, Nellie Lester and Josie Body.
Survivors include one son, Teddy Ferrell, and wife Debra of Leedey; her daughter, Amy and husband, Mike Dickens, of Burns Flat; her sister, Betty Maxwell, of Rosamond; five grandchildren, Scott Ferrell, of Leedey, Shane Carman, of Weatherford, Brett Carman, of Weatherford, Sandra and husband, Travis Latham, of Round Rock, Texas, and Emily and husband, Jeff Western, of Leedey; six great-grandchildren, Andrew Latham, Mikayla Latham, Jaelyn Western, Kaylee Western, Lily Ferrell and Tasia Smith; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be followed by interment at Rhea Cemetery in Leedey, under the direction of Shaw Funeral Home. Condolences may be made to the family at shawfuneralhome.net.
