Frank Lonzelle Lewis

A memorial service for Frank Lewis, 58, Phoenix, Ariz. resident, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at the Church of Christ in Temple, Okla., with Dr. John Edmerson officiating

Lewis died Nov. 28, 2014 in Phoenix. He was born to Frank Lonzelle Lewis and Alma (McClellan) Henry on May 21, 1956 at Grandfield, Okla.

Lewis grew up at Temple, attending Temple Public Schools. He had also lived at Clinton during his teen years. He served his country in the United States Army.

Upon his discharge he made his home in California before moving to Phoenix, working as a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Diane Johnson; brothers, Raymond Miles and Matthew Simmons West; his paternal grandmother, Jewel Baldwin Lewis; and grandfather, Jack Lewis.

Survivors include his brothers and sisters, Dr. John Edmerson and wife Dr. LaShelle Edmerson of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ida Marie Downing, and her husband, Paul, of Temple, N.D., Miles Jr. and Mary Jene of Clinton, Louis Miles of Temple, Lonzell Lewis and Jenette of Wichita Falls, Texas, Mack Simmons Jr. of Temple, Paul Lewis of Dallas, Texas, Frankie G. Lewis of Los Angeles, Calif., Angela M. Lewis of Perris, Calif., Tonya Lewis of Yucaipa, Calif., and Angela L. Lewis of Los Angeles.
