Harry Moore
Longtime Comanche resident Harry Francis Moore died on Monday, April 4, 2016, at the Corn Heritage Village, Corn, Ok. Harry was born on October 7, 1924, in Duncan, Oklahoma which he was one of seven children of Harry Emery and Lucy Pauline Haas-Moore. He graduated from Duncan High School in 1943 and went to work at Halliburton in 1943 for the next 46 years. He started his career in the shops then in
1946 he advanced to a machinist and in 1946 he was promoted to a Methods Analyst at the East Plant until the summer of his retirement in 1989. He married Maurine Elorise Zweifel in June 4, 1946 & they built their home in Comanche, ok and raised 3 children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, spouse Maurine, two brothers, Byron Moore, Wife Elma Jewel, Enid, OK, Herman Moore, Edna, Tx, two sisters, Sister Gerlinda Moore(Grace Moore) Aston, Pa & Doris Pollock, Broken Arrow, OK.
He is survived by one sister Betty Edwards & her husband Leon, of Velma, OK, a brother Father Wilbur Moore, OKC, a sister in law Savilla Moore, Edna, TX & a brother in law Wayne Pollock, Clinton, OK.
Harry & Maurine had 3 children, Daughter Jackie Elorise Neely and son in law Lewis Neely, Duncan, OK, Son David Lynn Moore, and daughter in law Susan Moore, Clinton, OK, and Daughter Carolyn Angela Stringer, and son in law Kenny Stringer, Clinton, OK. Harry had Six grandchildren: Chris Neely, Duncan, OK, Sumner Moore Hernandez, Clinton, OK, Addie Moore Acosta, Clinton, OK, Korbet Moore, OSU Stillwater, OK, Megan Stringer Groves, Byng, OK and Ryan Scott Stringer, Oklahoma City, OK. Harry had six great-grandchildren, Audrie & Sutton Hernandez, Clinton, OK., Scout & Sawyer Acosta, Clinton, OK and Emma Kate & Luke Groves, Byng, OK. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
A funeral Mass will be Friday, April, 8, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Assumption Catholic Church. The Internment will follow at Comanche Cemetery Arrangements by Comanche Funeral Home of Comanche, OK.
Pallbearers~ Grandchildren, Chris Neely, Sumner Hernandez, Addie Acosta, Megan Groves, Ryan Stringer & Korbet Moore.
