Henry Barnhart

A service was held for Henry O. Barnhart, 81, on Friday, Feb. 12, in Wiggins, Miss. He died Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, in Wiggins.

Barnhart was born Jan. 22, 1935, in Binger. He was raised in the Los Angeles, Calif. area and spent most of his life residing on the west coast. In 1953 he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, and was honorably discharged in 1956. After his discharge, “Hank,” as he was known to his friends, began a 47-year career in the transportation industry.

In 1989 Barnhart married his wife of 27 years, Jessica Lynn Wright. The couple made their home in Medford, Ore., with their children, and in 2000 they moved to Clinton. They lived in Clinton for 15 years and owned a successful storage business. In October of 2015, the couple moved to Wiggins, Miss., where they owned an embroidery and alterations business.

Barnhart was preceded in death by his father, Owen Ken Barnhart; his mother, Edith Bell Askins; and a brother, Jimmie Jean Barnhart.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; his son, Jesse Martin Williams and wife, Jenny, of Memphis, Tenn.; two daughters, Christen Lynn Skinner and husband, Wayne, of Cordova, Tenn., and Leslie Amanda Williams, of Bartlett, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, Hannah, Sara, Baylee, Elizabeth, Mackenzie, Layne, Samantha and Michael; his mother-in-law, Hilda Wright, and a brother-in-law, Ben Wright, both of Wiggins, Miss.
