Jack Madison

Funeral Services for Jack D. Madison, 87, Clinton resident, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 24, 2017, at the Union Hatchett Cemetery, north of Bessie, officiated by Kenneth Schuelein.
Burial will follow, under the direction of Keisau-Lee Funeral Home.
Jack D. Madison, 87, passed away March 19, 2017, at home with his wife and son, Stephen, at his side. 
Jack was born in Marlow, Oklahoma on January 4, 1930, to L.T. Madison and Fronia (Stotts) Madison. The family moved to Clinton in 1937, where Jack became an Eagle Scout. 
After graduating from Clinton High School in 1947, he attended Oklahoma Baptist University for one year before transferring to Southwestern State University. 
In 1950, he enlisted in the US Air Force where he served for four years. Jack married Betty Riber that same year and this past December they celebrated 66 years of marriage. He operated Madison’s Garage until his retirement in 1988. 
He had many exciting hobbies like go kart racing and managed to excel at all of them. In 1964, he was the Oklahoma State Handicap Champion in Trap Shooting. 
Traveling was something Jack really enjoyed. He and Betty visited all 50 states together and 17 foreign countries. When not traveling, Jack could be found at the Riverside Golf Course playing with his friends or in his workshop making stained glass. His was a life well lived.
He left behind the love of his life, Betty, along with his son Steve, daughter-in-law Peggy and step-sister Judy Raulston.
