James Roy Williams Jr.
Graveside services with military honors for James Roy Williams Jr., 75, of Calimesa, Calif., were held May 28, it was learned this week.
Williams died Sunday, May 10, 2015, at his home. He had lived in California and Arizona for more than 50 years and was an executive for Western Data Telecommunications and a manager for the Orange County Register newspaper.
He was a graduate of Cal State University-Los Angeles, an Army veteran, an All-American football player for Santa Ana Junior College and a standout football player for the Clinton High School Red Tornadoes.
His parents were Roy and Reva Williams.
Survivors include his sons, Charlie Williams, of Northridge, Calif. and Billy Williams, of Monrovia, Calif.; four daughters, Debbie Williams, of Fairfax, Va., Kristi Geilenfeld, of Chandler, Ariz., Vicki Williams, of Ontario and Shari Williams, of Ontario; three sisters, Pat Holden, of Clinton, Margie Patrick, of Calimesa, Calif., and Barbara Delk, of Hemet, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren.
Military burial was at the Riverside National Cemetery in California.
