Janice Klaassen

Funeral services for Janice Gay Klaassen, 70, of Clinton, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in “The Chapel” at Lockstone Funeral Home.
She died Sunday, July 10, 2016, at the Methodist Retirement and Health Center in Clinton.
Klaassen was born Nov. 19, 1945, the daughter of Ray Phillip and Fern (Bruner) Bergner, in Weatherford. She was raised on the family farm north of Weatherford, and attended Weatherford Public Schools. She graduated from Weatherford High School in 1964, and after graduation she attended beauty school to pursue a career in cosmetology.  
In 1968 she married Donnie Lee Klaassen. The couple made their home in Clinton, where Klaassen worked at local hair salons until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Laverne, Doyle, Max, Carroll, Bill and Larry; and one sister, Twila Gaunt.
Janice is survived by her husband, of the home; four nephews, Kelly Gaunt and wife Tonya, of Clinton, Todd Gaunt and wife Samantha, of Weatherford, Larry Bergner and wife Cindy, of Adair, and Terry Bergner and wife Janet, of Marlow; two nieces, Lynne Cornell, of Weatherford, and Tammy Smoot and husband Glenn, also of Weatherford; and many great-nephews and nieces.  
The services will be officiated by Bryan Johnston. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
