Jesse Acosta

Funeral services for Jesse Acosta will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Liberty Church in Weatherford.
Jesus “Jesse” Acosta was born June 19, 1952, to Leonardo and Catarina Acosta, in Crystal City, Texas. He moved to Clinton at a young age and lived there most of his life. In 1976 he married Renae Risinger.
He worked as a welder for Ben Branson out of Foss for 30 years. Later in his career he owned and operated his own business, Jesse Acosta Welding.
He was a devout Christian and regularly attended church. He was an avid gardener and loved spending time with his children and grandchild.
Acosta was preceded in death by his mother; step-father Sylvester Rivera; and sister, Dora Catarina Acosta.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; his sons, Daniel Acosta, Steven Acosta and Eren Acosta; his daughter, Jessica, and husband, SJ Van Den Berg; granddaughter, Allexis Acosta; brothers, Juan Acosta and wife, Beth, Frank Acosta, Rudy Rivera and wife, Lori, Robert Rivera and wife, Teri, all of Clinton; 10 nieces and nephews; and six great-nieces and nephews.
The family requests that anyone wishing to honor Acosta can make a donation in his name to Alzheimer’s Association.
The service will be officiated by Pastor Scott Page.
