Jimmy Fields

Funeral services will be held for Jimmy Alvin Fields, 73, of Norman, at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of John M. Ireland Funeral Home in Moore, 120 S. Broadway.

He died on Monday, April 25, 2016.

Fields was born March 1, 1943, in Clinton. He served in the U.S. Army and received an honorable discharge. He was an excellent welder and carpenter, and could fix anything. He loved cars, and retired from General Motors

He is survived by three daughters, Janet Johnston and fiancé Gary Goldstein, Nettie Proctor and husband Proc, and Julie Molloy and husband, Brian; nine grandchildren, Taylor, Jacob, Dillon, Jonathan Johnston, Harrison, Grace, Caroline, Stella and Marlowe Molloy; one sister, Ruby Sawatzky; two nieces, Delana Love and Karen Whorton; one nephew, Jack Andrews; and a host of cousins.

Interment will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Clinton.
